Stratum started as a thought between two guys wanting to be the ppl they saw on stage

Thier names were Paul and Jayson who picked up some insturments and started playing together

for months then decided they wanted other members a vocalist and bassists , but after

numerous trys they decided to just play for fun..Time went by the two went thier seperate ways

until the guitarist jayson met this great solid singer named jessica bladt from bend,Oregon.

The three Then started jaming together for awhile without a bassist played thier first two shows

with no bass , after a couple months they met youngster alex pickett a skateboarder with a love

of heavy music and which had only been playing bass for a couple months but they needed a

bassist badly no matter what and he turned out quite well considering his lack of experience

Stratum then recorded a 4 song demo with Clint Begley of quincy IL the respect for stratum

didnt change ppl judged and made fun of them for months so stratum went on playing

off and on shows in Hannibal,SpringField and Quincy.........till one day we decided to part ways

with our drummer paul because of personal things he was dealing with and we werent really going

anywhere ......so after a couple weeks jay was messing around online and found this drummer

by the name of AnDrew Kamphause we went over and played some songs and clicked very well

so we went on played some shows with kampy got enourmously good remarks about how much

better we were , than a couple months later we got a crazy kid named tom dailing who loves

to pit and is a great guitar player so we started playing with him , noticed we sounded a lot

more solid with him , he added some old school metal elements to our music that meshed well..

So We continue to play venues anywhere we can , destroying your towns with the music

we create . We just started recording a new demo cd hopefully ppl will like it and respect

what we do better after we get out and if not fuck off and die scum...............
